Prayer Need

Lehigh Baptist Church has a major prayer need. The heating system is below the main entrance to the church building. In recent years, the cement ceiling has begun falling down. In order to preserve the ceiling and keep the building safe, we have blocked off the main entrance. Our insurance company provided just $45,000 toward the repair, not nearly enough to cover the actual cost. At this point, the additional needed amount is $100,000. Obviously, this is beyond the ability of the Lehigh Baptist family. I am asking for our brothers and sisters to pray for the Lord to provide.

There is an old chorus we used to sing at Christian camp. It is based on Psalm 50:10-11- “For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine.”

The chorus goes-

He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine. He owns the rivers and the rocks and rills, the sun and stars that shine. Wonderful riches more than the tongue can tell, He is my Father, so they’re mine as well. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills, I know that he will care for me.

Please pray with us for the Lord to provide in a way that brings him glory and allows the building of His Kingdom through Lehigh Baptist Church to grow.

If Lehigh Baptist Church, Lehigh Christian Academy, or the ministries of Diane and I (Joe McAvinney) has blessed you, and the Lord prompts you, giving can be made via Tithe.LY. See the giving page on the website- lehighbaptistchurch.org.

Thank you for praying with us!
